چکیده

We describe the new brackish tanaidid species Sinelobus kisui sp. nov. from Hagi, Yamaguchi, Japan. is similar to S. barretti and vanhaareni in having antennal article 2 with one outer distal seta, dorsodistal crotchet on pereopods 3 carpi shorter than half propodus length, pereopodal 2–6 five crotchets, but differs them (1) inner of two ventro-subdistal circumplumose setae maxillipedal endite longer outer; (2) mid-inner spiniform seta; (3) pereopod-1 middle setulate (4) pleopod-1 protopod lacking plumose setae. Our study confirmed that character states chelipeds strongly dimorphic males are useful taxonomy. determined partial sequences for cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI; cox1) 18S rRNA (18S) genes future DNA barcoding phylogenetic analyses. Two new species of Tanaidacea (Crustacea, Peracarida) from Taiwan.

Two new species, representing the genus Aparatanais of the family Paratanaidae and the genus Tanais of the family Tanaidae (both families belonging to the suborder Tanaidomorpha), are described in the present study. The genus Aparatanais, the family Paratanaidae and the superfamily Paratanaoidea are recorded for the first time from Taiwan. Aparatanais lenoprimorum sp. nov. departs from its cong...

A new genus and species of Leptocheliidae (Crustacea: Peracarida: Tanaidacea) from Isla del Coco (Costa Rica).

Samples from the scarcely-studied sedimentary seabed from the Isla del Coco (Costa Rica) yielded a single species of Tanaidacea, belonging to a new genus of Leptocheliidae, Cocotanais. The new genus shows affinities with Pseudonototanais and Heterotanais in bearing a conspicuous forcipate cheliped in the males, which in Cocotanais has a modified merus and carpal flange. Other distinct character...

A new species of Paratanais Dana, 1852 (Crustacea, Peracarida, Tanaidacea, Paratanaidae) from Puerto Rico, northwestern Atlantic

Paratanais rosadi sp. n. described from Puerto Rican coastal waters represents the first species of the genus from the northwestern Atlantic. It is distinguished from the other Paratanais species by a combination of characters, including article-2 of the maxilliped palp with a geniculate, finely-serrulate seta on inner margin; chela with stiff, geniculate, seta arising from propodus between fix...

A new leptochelioid family, Heterotanoididae (Crustacea: Peracarida: Tanaidacea), and a new species of Heterotanoides from New Zealand

A new species of Heterotanoides is described from Waiheke Island, in the warm Aupourian zoogeographic province of New Zealand, and its relationships to other members of the genus are discussed. New characters for Heterotanoides, such as plumose epimeral setae, cap-like antennule segment, and four-spined maxilliped endites are presented, and their phylogenetic relevance examined. Based on phylog...

Tanaidaceans from Brunei, V. The Leptocheliidae (Crustacea: Peracarida: Tanaidacea), with four new species.

Leptocheliid material from sublittoral sandy substrata in the South China Sea off the coast of Brunei has been analyzed. Four species, all new to science, are described, all apparently interstitial in habitat. One is the second species to be described in the genus Catenarius (C. magdae); the others represent three new genera, one in each of the subfamilies Konariinae (Brunarus colekanus), Caten...
